Browse Designer Daybeds by GlobeWest
GlobeWest's designer daybeds balance the comfort of a lounge with the flexibility of an occasional piece. Their elongated profiles suit reclining, reading and informal seating, including projects where a chaise lounge might otherwise be specified. Choose from upholstered, timber-framed and metal-framed designs for living rooms, bedrooms and hospitality settings.
The collection spans soft upholstery and more structured frames, giving interior designers options for both residential and commercial schemes:
-
Upholstered Daybeds: Fabric, boucle and leather finishes bring softness and tactile detail to a room.
-
Timber Frame Daybeds: Exposed timber introduces warmth while keeping the profile visually light.
-
Metal Frame Daybeds: Slim metal frames suit contemporary and more industrial interiors.
Daybeds for Relaxed, Flexible Interiors
A daybed can define a quiet corner without the visual weight of a full sofa. Use one beside a window, at the end of a bed or within a hotel lobby or breakout area to create an inviting place to pause. Open sides and elongated proportions also help maintain a sense of space in compact layouts.
Layer the setting with cushions and throws, place a side table within reach and use a rug to define the zone. For a narrower seat intended for more upright use, explore GlobeWest's bench seats.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a daybed and a chaise lounge?
The terms overlap, but the form can differ. A chaise usually has an elongated seat with a raised back or arm, while a daybed may be wider and more bed-like. Check each product's dimensions, orientation and upholstery to choose the right format for your space.
How can a daybed enhance a commercial space?
In a hotel lobby, creative workspace or breakout area, a daybed offers a comfortable alternative to conventional lounge seating. Its open profile can help define an informal waiting or relaxation zone without closing off the wider space.
