Warwick Fabrics

Warwick fabrics range from bold and opulent to refined and raw, offering versatile solutions for any interior.
Follow the Warwick Fabric Care Instructions to maintain your upholstery in optimal condition.

  General Care

  • Arrange your furniture out of direct sunlight as much as possible. Rearrange furniture regularly to reduce constant and consistent exposure over time.

  • Flip and rotate cushions regularly – this is not just good for light exposure but to ensure even wear on the fabric and inners over time. Cushioning and fillings will show signs of wear and tear with normal use. This is not covered by warranty. Cushions may crease, foam and fillings will soften and form to the shape of the user over time.

  • Avoid excessive rubbing. Textured fabrics are delicate and can be easily damaged by rubbing and abrasive treatment.

  • Vacuum all fabric surfaces and cushions regularly to remove dust and dirt by using an upholstery brush attachment and a low suction setting.

  • Take special care when spraying household chemicals and products near upholstery. Applying non-commercial scented fabric fresheners, neutralisers and fabric protectors is never recommended.

  • Keep your upholstery away from heat sources and hot objects, pets and sharp or abrasive objects.

  Important Considerations

  • Speak with your Designer to ensure the products selected are suitable for your specific environment as well as discuss the level of maintenance that will be needed.

  • Professional cleaning every 12 months is recommended. If your furniture is used every day, we recommend professional cleaning every 6 months.

  • Pilling can occur occasionally as a result of normal daily wear and should not be considered as a fault. There are many variables which can trigger pilling, including climatic conditions, atmospheric purity and user environment. Even specific clothing types (fleecy tracksuits etc) can transfer pills from the clothing to the furniture fabric. As the fabric surface is rubbed, a single or small group of loose fibres on the surface begins to twist upon itself, forming tiny balls or ‘pills’. Often the catalyst that starts this process is a foreign fibre or speck of dirt. Pilling can be successfully removed with battery operated pilling tools available from most haberdashery stores. ‘De-pilling’ only removes unsightly loose surface fibres and does not affect fabric performance.

  • Always ensure water and solutions used to clean the floor do not come into contact with the furniture’s base, as it might leave permanent marks.

  • Use floor protectors on the bottom of furniture to minimise damage to floor coverings.

  • Always carefully lift furniture with 2 or more people when moving items around the home – never drag furniture along the floor.
