Homeroom Studio specified GlobeWest exclusively to transform the Melbourne HQ of athleisure brand JAGGAD into an inspiring workplace for its’ growing team.
Below Designer Romy Dankner describes the brief, process and product selections which resulted in a space perfectly reflecting the brand's values and an extremely happy client:
"We had ideas around how we envisaged the space to look and function but didn’t have the time or expertise to bring it all together ourselves. Romy really worked with our needs and spent time with our staff to help decide the best use of space and layout and overall look and furniture selections to suit the personality of our brand. The space is modern, light and bright and has lots of storage, we are blown away with the final result!" Michelle Greene, Creative Director, JAGGAD

Tell us a bit about the design concept:
The ‘Life Athletic’ journey at JAGGAD has certainly become a well-known one in the Australian fashion landscape. Beautiful, aesthetically pleasing, carefully crafted pieces that are designed to suit all body types, in all sporting environments. The brand is an incredible culmination of passion, dedication and good design all coming together.
And all this magic happens behind the scenes at JAGGAD HQ. So when I had the privilege of meeting Creative Director Michelle Greene and the JAGGAD Team, I fast understood the importance of their office space not only reflecting their brand aesthetically, but also working for them functionally. This balance between aesthetics and functionality really influenced my decision making when it came to look and feel and the furniture selection process.
How would you describe the office aesthetic and what were some of the inspirations behind the styling?
I wanted the interiors to reflect JAGGAD's brand ethos so that the staff could embody that vision when they come to work every day. When I asked Michelle some of the words she would use to describe JAGGAD and their ethos, it was the likes of “ balance”, “grow” and confidence”.
So my vision become clear; I wanted their interiors to present a clean, strong and monochromatic feel with touches of organic lines and textures that would bring hints of softness and femininity.
What’s your favourite part of the space?
At the beginning, their office was simply a mass of desks. They didn’t have anywhere for the team to gravitate towards for a break, or a space to host small events or welcome someone in prior to their meetings. We re-worked the floorplan to create this gorgeous break out area. It definitely has to be my favourite area.
And it was such an obvious choice for me to use GlobeWest products for this space. Not only because of their aesthetic beauty, but also because of their functionality. Having worked with GlobeWest for close to 15 years, I understand the importance they place on quality, so I was able to confidently choose and supply a rug, sofa, coffee table and side table in this high traffic area, knowing that the products have the upmost durability.
Why did you choose GlobeWest for this project?
Being a commercial project, we wanted to minimise the disruption to the office space. Our goal was to achieve complete installation in 24 hours! That meant careful consideration of suppliers was necessary for efficiency. I love that GlobeWest has an incredible extensive range from indoor sofas to outdoor lounges! Simply, a one stop shop.
That was a big factor to using GlobeWest. We also wanted to bring a residential feel into a commercial setting to create a sense of “home away from home”. I was confident knowing that GlobeWest products would have the flexibility to provide us with exactly that. Beautiful designer pieces made to last.

Is there a favourite GlobeWest piece from the fitout?
I absolutely love the round marble table in the showroom. The way the curve offers a soft, feminine line to the otherwise rectangular room. It brings the eyes in and sets the tone for the space. The white marble, paired with the textured base is just perfect!
We also absolutely adore the grey leather chairs in the meeting room. Their shape gives a very “director” like feel, and they are so sturdy and comfortable!
Michelle has two favourite pieces: "I think I have two favourite pieces, the Ossa dining table in our outdoor setting as it's a space that brings the whole team together and it’s a beautiful outdoor space to sit outside with my laptop, take a call, have a meeting in the sunshine or just enjoy relaxing with the team. I also love the showroom table (Benjamin Ripple dining table), I am obsessed with round tables and I love the marble top and the contrasting base with ribbed texture. It’s my fave!" Explained Michelle.
