Discover the Mt Martha home. A richly layered interior defined by warm timber, textured masonry and a distinctly nostalgic sensibility. Grounded in earthy tones and tactile materials, the home creates an intimate retreat that celebrates the enduring appeal of 1970s design.

Architectural Detail

Set within its natural surroundings, the home is grounded by rammed earth walls that establish a raw, textural foundation. Warm timber cladding and detailing extend throughout the architecture, creating a seamless connection with the surrounding bushland, while deep-set openings and expansive glazing frame views of the trees beyond.

Inside, timber-lined ceilings flow into wall panelling and integrated cabinetry, creating a strong architectural rhythm and a sense of continuity throughout the home. Floor-to-ceiling windows draw natural light deep into the interiors, while built-in window seating introduces more intimate moments within the architecture.

Materiality is layered throughout, from honey-toned timber wall linings and rich walnut panelling to textured masonry walls and warm timber flooring. A framed corridor brings these materials together, creating depth and contrast as you move through the home.

Look & Feel Of The Home

The home is defined by its immersive use of timber, textured masonry and earthy tonal contrasts.

The seamless transition of timber from ceiling to cabinetry and wall panelling creates a strong sense of continuity, making the interiors feel intentional. Layers of honey-toned joinery and darker timber detailing bring warmth and depth, while the textured masonry adds a raw, grounded quality.

Moments of softness come through in the built-in seating and moss-toned carpet, adding a relaxed, lived-in quality to the architecture. Together, these details create a home that feels intimate and retreat-like, with a strong connection to the timeless warmth of 1970s design.

Why We Chose The Home

We selected this home because it perfectly captures the mood of The Den - warm, layered and full of character. The combination of timber, masonry and earthy tones creates the depth and nostalgic, lived-in quality we wanted for the story.

The architecture also provides a natural connection to the collection. Its rich materiality, considered palette and tactile finishes allow the pieces to sit effortlessly within the space, feeling as though they belong there rather than being simply placed within it.

With its balance of warmth, texture and unexpected moments of colour, the home creates an evocative setting for The Den.
