EB Studio creates with intentionality, livability, and an elevated yet attainable quality that reflects their passion for practical and stylish design. Based in Sydney, the studio creates spaces for a variety of clientele from family homes, inner city escapes, bachelor pads, boutique commercial fit outs and so much more.

What’s your professional background and how has it influenced your work today?

I studied business at university while working as a visual merchandiser for Oroton. After uni I secured a job with an interior designer who specialised in high end residential fit outs. I dabbled in property styling after that and then moved into a buying role for an online homewares store. Along the way between those jobs I started EB Studio for extra pocket money. After being made redundant from my buying job in 2017 I went head first into business ownership and haven't looked back! I firmly believe that my business degree has contributed hugely to the success of our studio as I've approached projects with my business hat on with a creative spin.

When did you first develop an interest in interior design and styling?

Embarrassingly, I was obsessed with building houses on the computer game The Sims all through high school. I'd download floor plans from realestate.com.au from places like Point Piper and build the floor plans in The Sims. So it's no wonder I've ended up where I have!

Describe your business’ style and customer

We have quite a wide variety of customers but the overarching element that brings people through our doors is practical, livability that looks good. We work with families setting up their forever home, single dads, professional business women, business owners and expats returning back to Aus after years abroad.

What’s your favourite GlobeWest collection and why?

I am crushing on the Tucci Coffee Table hard right now. I can't wait to find a project to put it in!

What interior staple could you not live without?

Rugs! They're the quickest way to make a real splash in a room.

What are your top three styling tips?

1. Don't skimp on cushion inserts - feather-filled inserts or nothing!

2. Pick 3-5 colours for a room's colour palette - it'll help you make decisions more easily

3. Vary the shapes and sizes you use with furniture - a good mix of linear and rounded pieces make a room more interesting.

What does a typical day look like at EB Studio?

No two days are the same for me, it's usually a mix of office time, helping the team pick out fabrics, visiting showrooms with clients and networking meetings to drum up more business.

What’s your dream project?

We've actually just started on designing a private members club in very first Commonwealth Bank and I think this has been my dream project come to life!

 What’s next for EB Studio?

With my book Style Your Home set to hit shelves in April 2025, the remainder of the year will be focused on setting up the book launch for success and ensuring our systems and processes are tip top leading into the Christmas craze!
