Designer in Profile - Evolve Styling

Nov 06, 2025

Founded on a passion for exceptional design and genuine collaboration, Evolve Styling has become one of Sydney’s leading property styling companies. Guided by values of trust, creativity, and connection, the team works closely with clients to bring each unique vision to life. They work to transform properties of every scale, from city apartments to luxury residences, into beautifully styled spaces that captivate and inspire.

We recently sat down with the team to learn more about their process, design philosophy, and what drives their passion for creating unforgettable interiors.

When did you first develop an interest in interior design and styling?

My mother was an Interior Decorator, so I have always been surrounded by aesthetics and design. As a side activity to our corporate careers, my husband and I flipped properties for the past 30 years. On the completion of one of our earlier projects, the agent made a comment “he had never seen such a beautifully presented home and I should consider doing it professionally”. That home set a suburb record, so the seed was planted. About 15 years ago I decided to change careers and studied Interior Design. We then left our corporate jobs, established Evolve Styling, a boutique Interior Design and Property Styling company and have never looked back.

What’s your process when starting a new project?

We believe in creating bespoke and tailored interiors that reflect each client’s individuality. Every home and every preference is unique, and our Sydney-based qualified interior designers take the time to understand your vision from the very beginning. We work collaboratively with you to craft designs that align with your goals and lifestyle. Our structured yet flexible approach ensures we listen carefully to your needs and adapt as your project progresses, resulting in a final outcome that truly satisfies and inspires.

What’s your favourite GlobeWest piece/collection and why?

We love all of GlobeWest's collections but especially love Collections 2026. From this collection, the Madrid Curve Sofa in Chestnut would have to be our favourite GlobeWest piece. What we love most about this collection is all the beautiful colours ranging from bold and earthy to soft and muted, as well as the introduction of some mid-century pieces. Collections 2026 boasts rich colours, striking patterned marbles and organic shapes, which really makes this a standout.

What interior staple could you not live without?

Lamps and lighting! Lighting plays such an important part in design, it completely transforms how a space looks and feels. Whether it’s floor lamps, table lamps, or wall sconces, thoughtful lighting design has the ability to highlight features, create focus, or gently disguise areas, making it one of the most impactful tools in any space.

How do you find inspiration outside of work?

There are so many ways to find inspiration outside of work. With platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, it’s easier than ever to stay connected to what’s happening in the design world and discover new ideas. We love exploring how different designers interpret trends, materials, and colour, it’s a great way to stay inspired and continuously evolve creatively.

What’s a dream project you’d love to take on?

A dream project for me would be to design a new-build villa in Bali, a space that captures a serene, resort-like atmosphere while celebrating texture, colour, and natural materials. I’d love to create a calm, minimalist retreat that still feels visually striking and deeply connected to its surroundings. Sourcing timeless, handcrafted furniture and statement pieces to complete the space would be such a rewarding process, offering travellers a place to unwind, recharge, and truly experience a sense of tranquillity.

What advice would you give to someone re-styling their home for the first time?

If you’re re-styling your home for the first time, our biggest piece of advice would be don’t just follow trends. Trends come and go, what’s in style this year might feel outdated by the next. Instead, focus on what you genuinely love. If something truly resonates with you, it will never go out of fashion in your eyes. Pay attention to the things you’re naturally drawn to, whether it’s a particular design style, colour palette, pattern, or shape. If you find yourself coming back to the same elements repeatedly, that’s a good indicator they’re right for you. Building your space around what you love will always make it feel timeless and authentically yours.
